Design

This monitor has a borrowed design from its siblings. By just looking at this monitor you can tell that it’s an Omen monitor, even if you debrand it by taking off the logo. It has a very Omen-inspired design, that’s for sure.

The Omen 32 looks a little bulky, as it has bezels that are on the heavier side. Nevertheless, as the screen size is pretty big, you rarely notice that this monitor has big-sized bezels. All the sides of the monitor have equal bezels (unlike the other monitors that have a big bezel on the bottom).

The design of the stand is also quite good. It has a rather heavier base, which actually keeps the monitor in place, without any shaking issue. Despite the fact that this stand only has a single tilting feature and lacks features like the swivel adjustment, and height adjustment, it’s OKAY for most people, since you got the VESA compatibility, which basically allows you to put the monitor on the wall as well as on the monitor arm.

Let’s get to the back of the monitor, you get a curvy effect immediately when you look at the backside of this monitor, with the Omen logo engraved at the center. There are two steps, there are horizontally designed, and divide the monitor into two pieces. The buttons are present on the left side, while the ports are present on the sides.

Screen

The HP Omen comes with a 32-inches screen, which is the hot-selling point of this monitor. It’s huge, and at this price point, there are not many options available that offer the same quality. Not only the screen size of this monitor is huge, but also, but it also comes with a high-performance WVA+. The WVA+ is an advanced form of the VA panel. So, unlike the other IPS screens, there is no issue of IPS bleeding, or IPS glow here.

Amazingly, this monitor comes with a 1440p display resolution, which can yield a 75hz refresh rate, alongside there is the  5ms response time, which makes it a proper fit for gaming. Although it may be a deal-breaker for hardcore gamers, still, considering the price point of this monitor, it’s a steal deal.

Plus, it comes with the 3000:1 static contrast ratio, which ensures the colors on the screen are crisp, with brighter whites, and darker blacks. Additionally, the brightness of 300 nits also compliments the overall image quality, especially, in the darker scenes.

That combined with the 100% sRGB, and the 1.07 billion colors make it a right fit for people seeking a monitor for professional video editing, and image designing.

Connectivity

There is no shortage of connectivity options on the Omen 32 monitor. It comes with two HDMI 2.0, and one Displayport 1.2 port. Interestingly, both of these ports have support for HDCP, which means that you can stream all your HD content in the best possible resolution from your high-definition devices without any drop in quality.

Additionally, it comes with two USB 2.0 downstream ports, and one USB upstream port for unrivaled connectivity. Sadly, there are no speakers, or headphone jack available on the monitor. So, in order to connect the speakers, you have to directly plug them into the PC.

Performance

HP Omen 32 is a mid-range gaming monitor, and it does its job perfectly for which it was put in the market, and when you take the price factor into the consideration, there is not much to complain about this monitor.

It has a high-performance panel that can provide 2K content@75hz. When you combine it with the 5ms response time on this machine and flicker-free technology, there is minimum lagging, and tear on the screen, providing you with an amazing gaming experience.

On top of that, it comes with the AMD FreeSync technology, which double checks that there is no lagging, ghosting, or tearing on the screen, as it basically locks the refresh rate of the monitor with the graphics card.

Summing it up, the performance of the Omen 32 is perfect for people who do mediocre gaming, and it may not suit high-performance gaming.
